Deaf Patrons: How to Purchase Tickets on The SRT Website
Deaf patrons will be able to purchase tickets on the SRT website beginning Monday, August 20th, 2007. Patrons will be able to purchase tickets for any of our ASL-interpreted performances. Seats have been chosen because they have the best sight line of the ASL interpreters. Deaf patrons will be able to purchase tickets at the reduced rate of $20 per ticket. Note: A $3.00 per ticket service fee will be added to any ticket purchased online.
To purchase on-line tickets you must follow the steps below:
- Go to www.seattlereptickets.org. This will take you to a page that has a list of all the shows for the whole season. DO NOT CLICK ON A SHOW YET.
- Click on the “SIGN IN” button at the top right hand corner of the page.
- This will take you to a page which will allow you to either Sign In (if you have used the SRT's online ticket sales before) or Sign Up (if this is your first time buying tickets on the SRT website).
- VERY IMPORTANT! When you sign in, you MUST sign in with a promotion code. The code is the word: ASL If you are signed in without the promotion code, you will not have the correct access to the seats and prices for the ASL performances.
- After you have finished signing in, you will automatically go back to the page with the list of all the shows. Click on the play you are interested in attending. It will then show you the date and time of the ASL interpreted performance. Click on "view calendar" next to the words SHOW TIMES. You will then see a calendar. Click again on the name of the play you are planning to see and then you will be able to buy the tickets. Follow the instruction for buying tickets.
- You can now purchase the number of tickets you want at the $20 discounted price. The seats selected will automatically be in the ASL viewing section.
VERY IMPORTANT
- 10 tickets are held/reserved for purchase in the Mainstage Bagley Wright Theater. 4 tickets are held/reserved in the Leo K. You must buy your tickets at least 5 days before the show otherwise the tickets will be released to the general public. For example: You must buy the tickets by Tuesday afternoon for a show on Sunday. This will guarantee you get seats in the ASL viewing area. Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Troubleshooting Tips:
- There are a maximum of 3 seats in a row together in any of the rows of the ASL viewing section. If you, for example, are looking for 4 seats then the web would not be able to do this at once. Try searching for 2 seats and then another set of 2 for a total of 4.
- The same idea is possible if the web isn't able to find 2 seats next to each other-try searching for one seat at a time. The seats will generally be close to one another even if they are not together.
- If you notice that the ticket price is not the ASL discount price of $20, then you can try signing out of the website and then sign in again, making sure to use the Promotion Code: ASL
- If you are still having problems purchasing tickets on the website, you can send and email to boxofficeASL@seattlerep.org. The box office can help you directly with purchasing tickets for any ASL interpreted performance. NOTE: Do not include credit card number in any email! E-mail is a non-secure form of communication and credit card numbers could be compromised.
Tickets can also be purchased directly at the box office or by phone at 206-443-2222. Make sure to ask for seats in the ASL viewing section. Again, seats are sold on a first come first serve basis. The reserved seats are released 5 days before the performance.
